No More Jaundice Blood Test
Today, our Max is officially in pink of health after the blood test result shown that Max's bilirubin level has drop below 100 (around 60). Somemore he didn't cry when the blood was taken from his foot. Normally he'll cry for few seconds. Another good news is that within 2 weeks, Max has gained weight about 600 grams (currently at 4.090kg). Normally within 2 weeks, the baby will be within the same weight as baby's birth weight due to some loss of weight in the first few days of baby's life.
However, today visit to Hougang Polyclinics is unpleasant one. Spending extra hour in here due to being cut queue right in front of us for three times. First one happened at the entrance queue. 2 Malay aunties pretend to talk and "insert" themselves in to the queue right in front of us. Second one occurred during queueing at the counter to the blood test lab. An Indian aunty just walk to my front and join the queue. Last one take place in the blood test lab. While very obviously that we are the only one who waiting in there with our baby, two Chinese aunties (yet another inconsiderate aunties!) just went to the lab with their baby and then just sit on one of the table where the nurse take the blood although it turn out that table is supposedly for us as Max's paperwork is on that table. In the end the nurse told us to sit on another table but still need to wait till the nurse complete the blood taking procedure with these 2 aunties before start with us.
Do we queue improperly? Definitely not! Do we look like nice persons to those aunties till get "bullied" like that? might be. We pretty dissatisfied with those treatments although we didn't argue with them as we are on happy mood and also see no point of arguing just to put ourselves at same as those aunties! In fact, the Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew believes that a gracious Singapore society will not happen in his lifetime.
Lucky for them that on all occassions, we are the last persons in queue. If not, definitely there will be some arguing flying from the people queueing behind us.
